Hi,

I have a small pocket knife that has an inscription on the blade and an inscribed name (?) on the spring. The blade inscription is in some kind of cuneiform-like writing. The inscription is a cursive like Arabic. Can anyone help identify and/or translate these?

A poster on another forum has suggested that this knife is from Uzbekistan, but wasn't able to post pictures of any similar knives.

No takers on this? Can anyone hazard a guess on the inscription on the back edge of the knife?

Yes, very well done, Kronckew! Thanks for spotting those. There's no doubt in my mind that you've identified my knife. :D

not chinese , it is a turkman or uzbek knife from central asia... uhgir..
the otkur factory is the largest producer.. they actualy have a website in english .. www.yengisar.com

sows some of their more oriented range,, also ther eis other factories and many small producers.. knives are still very popular in east turkmenistan,, and are a cultural symbol..... east turkmenistan is currently occupied by china.......
