Looks like a putut at both sides. probably heavy coroded due the etching.

That the pictures turn out with more red pixels looking like corroded. But I seconded the idea that the blade has been wear-off due to age and etching probably. Looks like 2 pututs there. Hmm...

Hi lemmythesmith,
Dapur of u r keris: dapur regol (n thats not putut kembar).....
dapur regol : is straight keris with 2 "gandik" (front side and back side) and 2 "blumbangan/pijetan"

Cahaya, i am not questioning your opinion and it may well be the correct one. Frankly i (and all other non-Indonesian speakers) would have no way of knowing based on your post. What i am asking you is to simply explain why what is written in Harsinuksmo has led you to this opinion. In other words, what does this passage that you have posted say?
It is important to me that we all have an equal chance at understanding what is posted on this English speaking forum. If you can't tell us what it means, don't post it.

... (pic of dapur regol can be found in Ensiklopedi Kers By Bambang Harsinuksmo p. 390)Cahaya, I believe you're right. It looks more of a Dapur Regol than a Dapur Sepang. Dapur Sepang, have longer ganja than Dapur Regol. This piece, the short ganja fit that of Dapur Regol.
Looking at the gandik area... hmmm... a bit different, but I guess it's acceptable as Dapur Regol. ;) :D

Yes, I agree with Cahaya,
Dhapur "regol" has two "gandhiks" (the front of the base of keris), with no "sekar kacang" (elephant's nose). You may differ with dhapur "sepang" that has two "wadidangs" (the rear of the base of keris). If there are two "puthuts" (like hindhu of budha priest relief), then you may call it as dhapur "regol puthut". (This is a logical name, based on the details of the keris)
In "puthut kembar" (twin puthut), one priest relief placed in the gandhik, and the other in the wadidang. But in this keris, the twin puthut are on the twin gandhik. Thus, this is a "regol puthut", or "puthut regol"...

This is additional to Cahaya's statement. He mentioned about two "blumbangan or pijetan/pejetan" in the gandhik. Blumbangan is like a "pond" in the gandhik. We can call it as "pejetan" too. Two ponds in the base of the keris, means that the keris has two gandhik. Thus, true that it is a regol. And not a sepang (keris that has twin wadidang or rear part of keris base/sor-soran)...
Thanks for you info, Cahaya...
