Hi all, the bug of keris has taken me :D This is the first of three I have bought recently and I hope that the others will arrive soon. Any comment is welcome, thank you

Hmmm... this looks like a Malay keris to me. Nice piece, btw. ;)

The sheath and hilt looks rather Terengganu to me, and was probably recently (10-20yrs?) made, but the blade is probably of Southern Malay origin, and an old one. The blade's not well-fitted/original to the sheath. Like Shahrial says, it's more Malay than Bugis.

That is a nice keris and a good start to your collection of keris. The bug bites hard so beware  :D

Thank you Lew,
I am very attracted by the "mysterious" and spiritual aspect of these weapons and, of course, to their beauty and elegance :)

I know that it is difficult, if not impossible, but any idea on the age of the blade? Thank you

I would think 18th-19th century.
