I am betting this one is huge, with a thick and heavy blade(should clean up much more dramatically than shown)....and from Sumatra I believe.

Bill
It's a klewang and a pretty rare one with it's rounded riccasso. I happen to have one just like it but with a laquered scabbard the blade exhibits the same exact pamor but mine has been polished up so it's harder to see. I think the pamor is called grasshoper teeth or someting like that? Will post a pic of it when I get home tonight. Bill notice the klewang at the bottom of the photo similar to yours but with a flattened riccasso.
Very nice piece :)
Congrats

While it certainly is a klewang-type blade, Bill's nice piece with its characteristic kembang kacang seems to be a variation of what Albert van Zonneveld refers to as "Pedang 3" (attributed to Palembang). The rounded "ricasso" is a really nice touch - could this possibly be a Batak influence?

Hi all,
Hmmm ..... blade is reminiscent of a Pedang Sabet Lameng/Luwuk Kalawijan ...
Cheers.

Hi Pangeran,
Could you give us an image of this? Javanese? Indonesian?
Lew,
It does look a lot like yours.
Kai,
Palembang could be a possibility. I bought several swords from this collection and the others are Batak and some from Palembang.
Thanks
Bill

Hi all, here is mine for comparison. The blade is over polished, but anyway I don't think that there is a pamor :(

I have an example of javanese pedang Luwuk ... original scrabbar and unpolish...
I dont know whether it has a pamor or not.
