WELL, THIS IS MY BEST MORO KRIS I HAVE, THE PICTURES ARE FROM EBAY, BUT THERE ARE GOOD PICTURES. LENGHT WITH THE SCABBARD 28.5 INC, BLADE 23.5 INC.

Congrats, Carlos - a very nice kris! I especially like the baca-baca.
I assume you're going to clean and etch the blade? I'd love to see pics of the blade after that... ;)

Yes very nice. I would venture Maranao in origin. Looks like the scabbard is missing one band. Blade could use some etching to bring out patterns.

Well, traditionally you could heat up the blade (low heat) and apply vinegar and lime (or lemon) juice on the blade, then wiping it off. You could also use a quicker (but needing more care) with Radio Shack etchant (1/4 acid - 3/4 distilled water). If you use the latter, rinse off the stuff and rub with baking soda to neutralize the acid.
