Hi All
This just arrived today. The blade is 10" long with an old ivory hilt. I am thinking that it may be Azande?

Nice knife, Lew. I think you're right with Azande.
Here is my Azande knife. I think the handle once had some kind of wrapping, but that's gone now. The blade is about 20 cm long and 5 cm wide near the handle. And it's really sharp !

Hi Lew,
indeed Zandé.
Fits right in with your collection of Soudan daggers you just drifted a little to the south straight into Northern Congo. :)
Nice dagger !1900-1920

That is very nice but what does this piece have to do with an African dagger from the Congo

Lew,
It has something to do with the "old ivory hilt". Both show how the old ivory looks. Usually there are tiny crackles on old ivory.
