Hello All,
I've been meaning to take these pics for a bit, and finally got to them today.
Here's all of my blades (antique and vintage) from Eskilstuna, one of the major knife producing areas of Sweden.
Many, but not all of these are from C. W. Dahlgren.
Last year, I posted a series of photos from a catalogue from C.W. Dalhgren from 1906. over here, starting at Post # 9.

very nice , thank you ! Specially the ones with tradional decorations !!!
Is the black hilt made from leather or just wood ?
But do you have a picure of Tommie Gustafson's blades? which he used in Eskilstuna :)
interesting as well is the fact that bayonets were made around WW I there, named after the old King in Carl Gustafs stads gevärsfaktori
(who also did make rifles, like mausers)

It's wood. I think I've seen them described as Ebony, but I would put money on that.

The iceskater?

I think that makes sense. They've made blades for hundreds of years there, why not other forms of metal work?
I think the next time I'm in Sweden, I'll have to make a point to go to Eskilstuna. A Swedish friend of mine lives not far from there actually.
Thanks,
Leif

The iceskater?
yes indeed, the one and only and one of the world's best ever, together with Norway's Johann Olav Koss and our Ard Schenk from Holland :)

they look to be of very good quality, both the rifles and also the bayonets !
