Just got this little dagger I believe is from Luzon. I guess I didn’t pay attention to the item’s dimensions … but I was surprised to find it has a nonmetallic (brass) blade. I understand these have talismanic value? Seems to have some age, perhaps early 1900s? Searching the forums I found a few brass-bladed daggers but most have straight blades?
Overall length about 18 cm
Blade length is about 10 cm
Edit: The sheath has a small metal loop on the back. Possibly markings or letters as well.

Yes, it's a brass or copper bladed dagger from Luzon, a rare find! Congrats!!
See here: http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showthread.php?t=24216&highlight=brass+copper and here: http://www.vikingsword.com/vb/showthread.php?t=20787&highlight=brass+copper for more information.
PS: you want to write "non-magnetic" instead of "non-metallic" I guess! ;)

Hi ww. An unusual knife which seems to have some age. the hilt and sheath are an older style that were made in Spanish Colonial times and pre-WWII. It’s not a recently made piece for those who travel. The dress is good quality—not fancy but well made. Judging by the dress, I think this is Ilokano and perhaps from Pangasinan or Ilocos del Sur. It might also be Kapangan but I think that is less likely. The possible significance of copper or copper alloy blades has been discussed previously and I have not heard of further possible uses for these. The general condition resembles knives from the late 19th-early 20th C.
