I was recently at a Flea Market and I came upon this instrument; It didn't have any strings but it was cheap {AKA the song "Thrift Shop.").
I think that it could be from Indonesia or maybe the Philippines but I don't know.
Does anyone else know for sure?

Well I solved my own question;Pictured is an Indonesian Batak 2 string lute known as a Hasapi, Kecapi, Hapitan, or a Kwcapi.
There many examples on Youtube of this instrument being played and it has quite a range for only having 2 strings.
PS, mine now has 2 strings and is fully functional much to regret of my Wife.

Congratulations !

I wouldn't mind getting a true T'boli lute to learn to play.

I had to look up a T'boli lute;I believe that they are also 2 string ,but much larger.

Sumatran Bluegrass. ;)
I thought it sounded sort of like a Banjo at first.
Surprisingly loud for such a small instrument.

Yeah, same! Not just in sound but also in overall musical style.

I believe it's related to the Kudyapi, but significantly smaller
