Just as an example my recent jambiya.
They don't grow on trees but I count myself lucky to find two amazing specimens shortly after each other. This thouma has lived more than the previous one but of a very good quality silverware. No marks to be found. The blade is solid for a change but not too great quality and does not fit well so strongly suspect not original to the rest. A surprise was the belt which appeared to be embroidered with silver thread after a comment from a collector friend.
Regards
Marc

Nice !👍

What about the hilt ?
Is it made of horn ? ( rhino ? )
If you insert some close up pictures...

The handle is horn, fairly worn and damaged.

Yes, not translucence. Also no hair structure visible.

Another nice Jambiya. Perhaps not quite the quality of the other one, but still very nice. The hilt looks old also with some of the original silver pins still there.
