Original scabbard from an Algerian or Moroccan nimcha or flisse sabre. Exotic wood, lightweight.
The scabbard is made of two boards stained brown and red and connected by nails. The front board is carved in geometric patterns and lines. It has carved 2 rings to pass the sling cord through. Brass clamps fitted at the ends to compress the ends of the scabbard.
Length: 88.5 cm, width: 6.0 - 6.5 cm, thickness: approx. 3.0 cm.
Blade opening: 12 mm x 40 mm.
