Hello Omar,
I believe these fossil elephant molar fittings are modern and emulate classic Straits style; blade might be old. IMHO, a sewar regardless of which coast along the Malacca Strait it hails from. The Melayu badik seems to originally hail from more northern areas.

Hi Oariff.
It's a sewar. But I am unsure if the scabbard mouth and hilt are antique, is the material white aka bahar or fossilized elephant tooth?
Regards,
Detlef
PS: Just see that Kai write nearly the same already! :D

Hi Detlef and Kai,
Thanks for your kind reply. I enclose 2 further pics for you to look at. If I had to guess - Elephant tooth/molar perhaps?
Cheers.

It is a type of vegetative motif used among the Indonesians, Malayasians, and Philippines (Maranao call it okir).
And I agree with the mastodon molar tooth attribution.
