This knife is probably about 20 years old. It comes from the loosely defined area of northern Thailand/Adjacent Laos/ northern Vietnam, and Southern Yunnan Province of China. The blade is hardened, sharp, and of typical profile for a working knife in that region.
The knife does not appear to have been used. On the spine are two areas of six transvere, incised lines and a small inset of copper. These are decorative features of no known significance.
