Hello Philip,

No, it's from Indonesia, Madura and called celurit! A very nice one and very old, mid 19th century. Rare find.

Take heed of #13, therefore my dating. ;)
If you ever find it boring, I would be glad to give it a new home. :)

Regards,
Detlef

This one is now in my possession. Blade and ferrule are forged from one piece, i. e. the "ferrule" isn't separate, I guess by your example it's the same. The handle of mine was shortened at one point in its history. When you can see some hard and bloody pictures google for carok Madura, these weapons were used in duels, still today! When you read the given thread you get all the information about your sickle sword.

You're welcome Philip!

Just won a brother of the celurit, an arit, I guess from Madura as well.
Attached a picture from the seller.

Best regards,
Detlef
