For sale : Rare form of axe from Nagaland, made by the Kalyo Kengyu tribe (nowadays Khiamniungan tribe), with custom stand included.
The head have an hard edge, three shallow and wide fullers on one side, and a single bevel sharpening. The blade / iron pole are decorated with geometrical pattern. The particularity of this axe is that it is socketted around a wood shaft.
That exemple from the 19th measures 60cm.
No damage on edge, slight pitting in some areas.
Extremely good exemple.
