Does anyone know what these are and what they’re used for?
I was informed that they could be some sort of Maranao knuckle dusters.

Sort of looks that way doesn't it? Lots of wrap and made of bronze or brass - both harder than copper.

Not seen anything like these.

Never saw anything like these and i can't find anything like it in searches, though i can find more standard versions of brass knuckles from the Philippines.
So i can't tell if these are actually a weapon or not. What i do notice is that the material that they are wrapped with does not appear to show any wear in the areas it should if these had ever been in use.

Maybe they were never used, or maybe not, but they sure look like knuckle dusters; and I sure wouldn't want to take a punch in the head from either one.

It would be 'one and done.'

How heavy are they? Which is more comfortable to hold, the wrapped or the unwrapped part - it looks like the wrapped part would be awkward to grip. Why are they wrapped if that part is intened to hit an opponent?

Weight : Left 8 oz., Right 8.5 oz.
To be held with the wrapped side. The striking side has somewhat of an edge.
