This sword was part of a lot that a friend spotted for me. I don't collect this type of things, but i had to acquire it to get the other pieces.
The cross guard hilt in turned brass, suggesting this would be a fraternal or masonic sword. The grip covered with some textile material ... or suede, wrapped with rolled brass wire.
The lenticular blade visibly of good quality, surely has some age; with golden engravings, most possibly of German origin, measuring 69 cms. (27").
Selling for 110 Euros.
