Anybody see this little gem go off on ebay?

Hopefully one of you all snagged it. Looks like they are still going strong.

I have downloaded the pictures and cut them a little bit, this will help when the link is gone! ;)
Also when I like the handle, especially the silver (?) wire, I don't know if I would have given so much money for it, the restoration at the pommel can do only a few people and will eventually cost a similar amount again.

Undamaged or restored a beauty, but in this condition?

Magnificent old kris. Pre-1800 I would say. The stirrup is likely suassa. I would maybe polish the silver and gold, clean and etch the blade, and nothing more.

The asang asang doesn't look suassa to me. More likely bronze. But man, i agree with all the rest. An awesome "archaic" kris in fine condition. Odds are good it has a twisted core as well. That hilt wrap is pretty nice too. The damage to the tail of the pommel is a shame, but i would simply live with it rather than try to restore it. It's not that bad really and shows some history.
Thanks for grabbing the photos. Maybe we'll get lucky and find a member scored it. :)

The patina suggests to me that the asana-asang is bronze/brass and the ferrule perhaps low silver.
