After much research I found out this hunting sword and baldric bears the coat of arms of the German princely house of THURN AND TAXIS.

On the central shield there is a badger but apparently the silversmith didn't know how a badger looks like and made it look like a bear.

Most probably the sword and baldric belonged to Maximilian Karl of Thurn and Taxis (3 November 1802 – 10 November 1871) who was the sixth Prince of Thurn and Taxis, head of the Thurn-und-Taxis-Post, and Head of the Princely House of Thurn and Taxis from 15 July 1827 until his death on 10 November 1871.

The sword was made by the Bavarian royal supplier Stroblberger of Munich.
