Larrin Thomas, who runs the Knife Steel Nerds web site, has come out with a revised edition of his book: Knife Engineering: Steel, Heat Treating, and Geometry (https://knifesteelnerds.com/2020/07/22/new-book-knife-engineering-steel-heat-treating-and-geometry/).
Larrin is one of the most informed and helpful people I have found on the web with regard to old and new blade steels. His latest edition is a minor update on the previous one, but if you don't have his book already and are interested in the technical aspects of blade steels, this is a good read and valuable resource.
