Ok, we've got nationality thread, mugshot thread (long forgotten), thread on individual interest with poll (long time ago too), thread with appeal to new memebers etc......
so let's make another one with fun - HOW OLD ARE YOU.
We had some surprises lately, finding out that some of the members are quite young but mature in mind (hope this is how we can call it in English, I hope no-one will feel offended  ), so I'm courius HOW OLD THIS BOARD IS :)
So - I'm 29 :o

I remember riding dinosaurs to school :-) That is when we didn't have
to walk 20 miles thru the snow with no shoes. :-)
Just an old codger. If I'd known I'd live this long, I'd have lived a
MUCH wilder life :-)

When I want to "be" younger, I convert it to hexadecimal notation: 29.
In fact, almost 41.

I am just (or already?) 48!
Life is too short for the wrong hobby!
Therefore, I already handed on many weapons from my collection to my son, he's 18 and enjoys especially the old Dha.

By my count there are more folk on this forum aged 48 than any other age, not sure what that means but I am another of that precise vintage. As with some others my brain keeps telling my body that I am younger than that, but my body keeps asking my brain then how come I feel like this?

Before I could answer, the other replied,
Since the Franco-Prussian War.
After some reflection I have decided to spare you all the Titus Pullo-style

I am amazed by the collectors younger than myself, as when I was that age I collected bad reproductions from Ren-faires and such. You all have much better taste than I did.

I am 43.
I made a dozen swords from scrap metal around age 12.
I bought my first antique sword at age 30.
I bought my second at age 35.
I bought 20 more in the last 12 months...so I guess I am really hooked now.
Finding this forum really opened my eyes to how interesting ethnographic arms are, which in turn has gotten me really interested in understanding the culture and history of many parts of the world I knew very little about.
