One of these days I'll actually buy something that I'm familiar with, however, that time isn't today. This spear measures 82" in total length and it has an extremely heavy head that measures 20.5" long, and 2 & 5/8" at its widest; it has a medial ridge and it is like a sword at the end of a pole. It has a thinly turned band iron socket.
The consensus at the show was that it was all original and possibly S.E. Asian; anyone else seen one like this?

Would agree with SEA origin but unsure from where exact! But a nice lance! :)

I’m thinking it is from Nias, but the shaft may have been altered.

I think also that is a Nias spear.

Thank you all for your comments; I think I may have found my spear in this forum. Robert posted a spear that he just acquired that looked very much like mine on Apr.,10,2013 @ 0:350 pm.
Update; according to an earlier thread on this forum, it appears to be from the"Tonkin area in North Vietnam.
