there was a video made and is now circulating, about the supposed "original 1881 design" or "first design" of the Sansibar sword of Carigara, Leyte.

the "internet research" cited at the end of the video was: kult of athena and Traditional Filipino Weapons. (no, i am not part of the production of the video)

in the interest of more research, do you have old sansibars or photos of older sansibars? i do not believe that the "original 1881 carigara sansibar" presented in the video is actually authentic, it is a modern design by pangasinan smiths.

here is a photo of my carigara sansibar, made about 2 years ago.

yeah, that weird sword they were showing at the end of that video was some sort of fantasy thing made in pozorrubio..
