Just picked this up and not with me yet. Would appreciate some thoughts on origin please. Length 186cm

I would say Kenyan also
I saw a lot of this style spear over there, with a lot of variance in the spear tip but always the same on spike end
very similar to the Massai Lion spear as commented on by Iain
scale in your second picture looks v v weird

Thanks Ken. Yes second pic is a bit weird but they are all sellers pics so best I have for now.

This type of spear is used by several different tribal groups in South Sudan, Uganda and Kenya. Not Masai however. Its difficult to identify exactly which tribe without a provenance.

The spear has now arrived and I attach a couple of extra pics. There is an animal skin band with hair at the top of the bottom metal piece. Any ideas on this? Also pics of the blade showing definate forging marks.
I would really like some closer ID of this item if possible please.
