This came in with a few bits from auction ,its about 8 foot tall bamboo with a keris sword attached to the end , I wouldn't think this is original would you ?

This is something I have not seen previously, but logically, it could be an indigenous adaptation.

Good close-ups of the union between blade and shaft, and the butt end of the shaft, as well as a couple of closeups of sections of the shaft might help in the forming of an opinion.

I cant see how they started life together but then its been in this form for some time I would say , the bamboo has a well used patination , here is is another pic

I was taught welding in high school and seems that someone welded a keris to the pole. Kind of dis-respectful to the keris itself.
