I have never seen a keris handle like this before, also the scabbard looks a bit different.

I don't know what this hilt is called, but it is a fairly common Madurese form. I believe it is an abstract of a parrot head.
The seller mentions the fit to imply that the sheath was made for this keris as opposed to a refit old sheath. :)

I have never seen a keris handle like this before, also the scabbard looks a bit different. ..(ps Rick; Im not selling this item)Hi doecon, this keris handle form is quite plentiful. It's known as "Bajing Terbang" (reference: Tammens, De Kris), one of Maduran hilt form. Bajing Terbang literally means "flying squirrel". :)

The seller mentioned that the keris fits well in the sheath...wonder how come :) Well, you could ask the seller. Looking at the piece, the sheath joints needed to be re-attached. Other than that looks ok to me. Probably, the seller is trying to say that the sheath is made for the blade. ;)

I hope that answers your question.
