It is about 3 feet long.

I admittedly know little about pacific island clubs, but that looks like it would not hold up to too many strikes to be an efficient weapon. Could it be purely ceremonial? :shrug:

Butter churn? they sell a lot of them as 'clubs'.

The Solomon Islands used flanged clubs, but short hand clubs of the Ulu variety ('throwing' clubs) like mine in coconut wood below, the flanges were quite substantial broad based to withstand impact, with sharp edges.

The butter churn ones were longer, thinner and the flanges were for rotating the handle between the palms, or with a cord like in the below video, inside the churn barrel. the one shown in post one appears to be a more classy & finely made one.
