A Sumatran keris panjang, aka, an Executioner's Keris.
This keris was bought in Jakarta in 1974 by the previous owner, and is exactly as it was when purchased. The blade is of good quality, bears pamor adeg and the original warangan is still in evidence, the wrongko has an old repair to its face, which is clearly visible in the photographs, there are some scratches on the reverse of the wrongko also visible in the photos. The hilt appears to be less old than the wrongko and blade, but it does have some minor bruising so this estimation could be incorrect.
This is an old, 100% original keris in good original condition.
