Unfortunately the serpentine is brokenWell a least the rest of the parts are there. How did you get this date "Early 19 century"?

CerjakFrom what I have learned, the area of manufacture can often be determined by certain characteristics but the date would have to come from removing the barrel and seeing if it is signed by the maker and or dated as is often the case.

Hi Cerjak.
Nice looking Teppo. Yes, too bad about the broken serpentine.
As Estcrh mentions, if there are any marks it is usually on the botton of the barrel/plug. And in my case, there was an additional mark on the inside of the stock and a small piece of linen with maybe an inspector's mark.
There are probably similar marks/dates on the bottom of your barrel.

Hi Rick,
Yes I believe that precious informations are certainly in the hidden side of the barrel but to remove the barrel without making damages around the pin holes it
will be difficult :There is some materials who obstruct the pin holes so it why I'm still not decided to do it.
