Hello
I had seen for a long time on the internet or at the antique shops this style of lombok handle but never fixed on their blade. I'm glad I finally managed to find a complete set.
The sheath is made of wood covered with brass repoussé.
The buffalo horn handle with silver-colored metal base (or low grade silver?)
The blade doesn't have a pamor, it is 32cm long, 4mm thick at the base and 3,4cm wide.
I think it dates from the first half of the 20th century but I have no proof. Just a feeling due to the patina.
But it is his short pedang or long knife?
At the same vendor there was a 15cm longer model but with a more round and simple handle. Unfortunately I did not have enough money for both ... :(
What is the name of this weapon?
Thank you for your help.
