JUST BOUGHT THIS KURDISH JAMBIYA DAGGER,WOULD LOVE TO KNOW ITS AGE AND ANY INFORMATION RELATED TO IT.WOOD AND SILVER KIND OF SHEATH??

Hi Rajesh,
It's a good one. It's so funny that you have a brown and black leather sheat.
I don't know which one is the oldest one: the black or the brown. But I know that the tip of your scabbard is a basic Turkish/Ottoman silver work. Maybe useful to locate the origin of your Kurdish dagger...

brown sleeve over the black leather/metal chape may have been a repair shrunk/glued on to hold them together.

It is always difficult to stick the tail on the donkey over the question of age. Its old in my view looking at the wear on the hilt and clearly the blade is not new...thus likely to be original. It has running repairs...adding to age... but how much age? You would have to be a genius to figure it out exactly... I would be happy with something between 100 years and 150.
