Hum, forging flaws and poor carving of the ganja & greneng, not a masterpiece IMO :)

correct, that's exactly what I'd like to draw your attention here, I have seen several badiks and kerises lately, from bugis, and some of the old has some kind of gold - welded as "glue" (possibly) to weld cracks and some which used brass like that piece abova
is this a common practice ?

I could be wrong, but while this certainly is a Bugis style blade i am not convinced that it is actually from a Bugis smith. :shrug:

I assure you it is from bugis smith, but not a master yet
perhaps he got influenced by javanese keris ?

seems not, there are quite striking differences in the finishing section and architectures (rancang bangunnya)

Andi tenri polojiwa , he make this Keris, and winner to in festival Keris making in Jogja I think, but he can't make like my Keris posting, we garapnya absolutely perfect, we makeit like a bugis style true, by the way that is not gold but yellow iron
