Greetings all,
A recent museum visit provided me with this photo of an edged weapon, namely a revolver with a bayonet attached, alternatively a bayonet with revolver attached. I thought that it may be of some slight interest.
Best regards

Yep, rare British weapon of WWI, intended specifically for trench warfare. Webley Mk. I, .455 caliber, fitted with its specially-designed bayonet and shoulder stock.

V rare as broadaxe says
Lots of reproductions so be very aware if spending money on such an item
Very much off topic but interesting none the less

Excellent information Ken, thank you!!
This is most innovative creation, and I cannot tell if that bayonet is, or designed after, the French Gras 1874 or the French Lebel 1886. Whatever the case, that this pistol was fashioned, almost repurposed, by addition of the extended grip loop in addition to the bayonet.
There are a good number of combination weapons with the sword being the primary weapon and gun mechanical components added....but to see these pistols and revolvers with bayonet blades seems most unusual.
The Elgin cutlass pistol of 1838 always comes to mind, but that was such an unusual case, only 150 made.

I also visited the same Exhibition......Gallipoli.......at the Dominion Museum in Wellington NZ.
For those unfamiliar with this particular version of the Webley Revolver, here is a full length view of the same gun.
