Perhaps, I will say something that is obvious, the sheet seems to be a broadsword adapted, modified, as you uploaded a later post.

It is a interesting supposition but in this case because of the shape of this blade the original blade used to made this dagger should be a much more wider blade may be 7 or 8 cm .
I will add later the dimensions from this dagger so you could have a better idea of the proportions

In fact this dagger if made from a sword blade could be from a blade about 4.5-5 cm wide.
I could superposed this dagger on top of this this Dussage blade in order to have an idea of the geometry of a possible original blade and has exactly covered it .
This Dussage has its blade about 4.5 cm near the hilt.
So it ‘s a possibility that this dagger could be a broadsword adapted but I don’t have picture from a blade fullered till the tip .

This dagger has some characteristics of an early scottish Dirk.

But i am unsure, i will check my literature, when i am back from work. I have a feeling, that i have already seen this type of dagger.
