Scottish Deer hoof Clasp Knife Nice Scottish design, on blade, Toledo so blade must be made in spain ,such knifes were made also in Germany, there is a safety feature and quick release, looks like silver plating on handle.

Nice knife. I've had them made in Germany, Spain, England and I think (?) Italy also. Good to find them with most of the hair still on them.

Very nice tidily made knife,
It will definitely be made from a Roe deer hoof.
These as you say were made very often in Germany, but this appears Scottish.
Best,
Richard.

It is a Spanish navaja of relatively modern manufacture, circa 1950, and aimed at the tourist market. The bolster appears to be made from German silver sheet beaten to shape.
Cheers

PS I forgot to comment on the bodkin and I am not sure of its provenance, as it could have come from anywhere.
