Hi Flavio,
in the treat "It is not metal" you asked for Photos of stone axes.
I ve got a very unusual one. The Blade consists of Stone and the handle is made of fossile wood, which turned into stone. (Sorry, I got no other word for it, I ve to practice my english). Seller told me he buyed it at Neuguinea.
Unfortunally the handle broke at the transport
What do you think about?
greetings
Dirk

Hello Dirk, to tell you the truth i never see somethings like that  . Are you sure that the blade and the handle are made with two different materials? Seems to me that all the axe (blade and hanlde) is a unique piece. Maybe the blade seems a different stone because is polished. :)

Hello Flavio,
in my opinion there are two different stone materials. The blade seems to be fixed whith some kind of adhesive. Best you can see it is at the back-prickle.
But I will look closely in the evening.

Few days ago I saw in an auction a thai axe shaped like this made out of bronze, which should be an symbol for good luck.
But I wont believe there are parallels between those two objects.

Flavio,
you see more on the photo, than i did with the item in my hand.
It is true, the hole thing is made out of one piece.
But it takes me not further.
It should be sold in Kuchin on Sarawak from an Iban tribe member.
