Dear collectors,

We are currently preparing an exhibition about traditional Black Forest costumes and want to show how some shapes are recurring throughout the world. Now some of you may be familiar with the German "Bollenhut":

We have realized that there are more hats that have familiarities with this hat, especially concering the pompons, for example the Japanese "hanagasa", the Korean "gokkal" or the Swedish sami cap:

My question would be if one of you owns an ethnographical hat with pompons like that or know someone who does and would be willing to lend it for the duration of the exhibition.

Apart from such "pompon hats", we would also be interested in South American (Peruvian) top hats.

It would be great if you could contact me via PM so that I could tell you all the details.

Thanks for any help and regards
Peter

I DON'T HAVE ANY OF THESE HATS BUT ANOTHER PLACE TO LOOK FOR RELATED MATERIALS FOR THE EXHIBIT WOULD BE DOLLS. NO DOUBT THERE ARE DOLLS WEARING THE APPROPRIATE HATS AND COSTUMES. THE GREEKS WEAR THESE POMPOMS ON THE TIPS OF THEIR SHOES. :)
