Nothing much unusual here except for the size of the flask. Typical design of Moroccan flasks, but extremely small. The bowl is only 6cm (2 3/8") in diam. About half the size of the usual ones seen so often.
Nice greased plaited hanger and cap retainer.
What do we think gentlemen?

Not tourist as there was powder residue inside.

I HAVE READ THE SMALL FLASKS ARE FOR SMALL PISTOLS. THEY WERE EASY TO CONCEAL AND WERE CARRIED WHERE IT WAS UNLIKELY A FULL GUNFIGHT WOULD OCCUR. BUT ONE MIGHT CONCIVEABLY NEED A COUPLE OF SHOTS FOR SELF DEFENSE OR DIRTY DEEDS.

I have no knowledge, but wonder if it could have been used for priming a flintlock? I think the priming powder is different, finer maybe?
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,
Yes I agree. I am sure that this is a priming flask for Matchlock/Flintlock.
I had posted this for "comment" to see if my thoughts were confirmed. The powder residue that was in the flask was VERY fine and would have been for priming.
This is the first really small Moroccan/North African flask I have been able to acquire, so am rather pleased with it.
