Alright Jim , I was just funnin' . ;) :D
Though seeing the piece did bring to mind Kipling's bit of doggerel :
" A scrimmage in a border station- A canter down some dark defile- Ten thousand pounds of education drops to a ten-rupee jezail "

Hi Rick,
I missed the response on this !
Outstanding quote by Kipling, one of my favorites!!!
Reminds me of our research a while back on "The Great Game" :)
Makes me want to watch "Gunga Din" for the zillionth time :)
All the best,
Jim

Hey, can you tell me where to pick up one of those jezails for ten rupees? I need one in my collection! :D
Seriously, does anyone know a source for ethnic firearms that doesn't involve mortgaging your soul? I'd offer up my firstborn child, but I don't happen to have one....

Mine has the same size, just love it.
Bought it years ago on a flee market as a butcher's knife. How does Tim say it? For fish and chips.... :)

Not sure I want to patronize the shop where the butcher is wielding one of these; he might get a sudden urge to relive the old days and slay the infidels cluttering up his Pass.....

Nice! Could we get another pic with the scabbarded blades out where we can see them? Much rather look at nekkid steel than pics where the naughty bits are all covered up; Hugh Hefner taught me well.... :D
