Several years ago I purchased these swords while in Bangkok. The seller indicated they were around 50 years old and not very common. Reading through the various treads on this website, those talking about Thai sword markings would have me believing these swords were for tourist sales many years past and possibly produced in northern Thailand. Would this be an accurate identification? Thanks for any help. :)

The thread Congoblades has posted is still, likely, the best readily-available source for information about this particular type of Thai sword. Other searches of the Forum archives will turn up helpful posts by members PUFF and others who are either native to Thailand, or live there.
This particular example, in my personal opinion, is at the better end of the spectrum represented by these contemporary swords. Perhaps made for the "tourist" trade during the Vietnam War era. Perhaps made for local consumption and use during that time-period.
