One of my favorite pieces. The hilted is segmented ivory with horn spacers. The ferrule is gold plated in a rudimentary geometric and floral motif. The blade is a forged in a somewhat unique, almost linear, pattern weld.

The scabbard here is new.

Dimensions: 26in. long; 17.5in. blade; blade is 2.75in. wide at its widest.

Charles,
Very nice. I really like the pierced crest on the kakatua. If it were mine, it would also be one of my favorites.
Congrats.

Thanks Kino!

The combinations and possibilities with these and krisses just never ceases to amaze me. I think we should record every non-identical example we can for future reference via our search engine.

Such a great example as this and your observations prove that these were indeed hand made and not mass produced. True works of art.
