Have given a small bid to this IMO mislabeled ebay listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/African-Knife-Bring-Back-from-WW-2-N-African-/380786815441?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&nma=true&si=Z6BVbFK0O%252Bus0tUsbSWJKMKes1c%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
What I have read here and in books I am nearly sure that I just have bought a Kurdish Jambiya, correct?

Absolutely correct. Certainly Kurdish jambiya. Nice get :)
They are often of wootz, so you may polish and etch the blade, you never know could be a nice surprise.

Thank you very much for confirming. And yes, will etch the blade when I have received it. :)

Dave, did you mean to start a new thread on this Pira. I don't see any connection to Sajen's thread.
