Hello:

The key (lock) is Spanish, conversion of a key (lock) Spark (flint), and instead of the rake (frizzen) has applied the "keep-bait". Displays the original holes, covered. The bronze piece that has been applied to the mouth, to mimic a blunderbuss, is false, and stock shape mimics Spanish butts. In short, I think a decorative piece.

Hi,

This is clearly a very plain percussion carbine (short gun) of Spanish origin. Not only the lock and stock but also the Castilian shape of the buttstock are characterisitically Spanish, ca. 1850-60.
To me, the 'mark' does not seem to show an identfiable symbol.

Best,
Michael

The mark looks like some kind of crown with an alien head onder it, but that can't be right :o
