Have get this spear and I think that it is Indonesian. The spear point is a pamor blade, the ferrule from brass and the shaft from black wood seems to be shortened. Attached are two different sorts of hair, the longer ones are brown and thicker, the short hairs are thinner and dyed red. Would like to know from where this spear coming. Could it be from Sulawesi? I am nearly sure that it isn't from Java or Bali. The spear is 124 cm with scabbard, the point is 19,5 cm without tang.
Any suggestions?

Yes I'd say Indonesian with that ferrule and blade. Not seen one with hair though......

Thank you Jose. I think I've seen spears from Sulawesi with hairs but can't remember where.

I say Sulawesi as well based on RMV Leiden database.
I guess you missed this picture which was a little in the wrong (sumara) thread...
Best regards,
Willem
