Dave and Lonna generously parted with one of theirs for one of mine. A shield for a sword trade. An incised / tatooed Mindanao Lumad shield. A tag reveals that it was once in a college collection in Wisconsin.
Hope you enjoy.

wow! that's a heck of a bagobo shield, bro! it's non-typical, as in the color is different from what i normally see out there. the wood has a real nice patina on it. i especially like the incisions as well; very tribal. i might just copy the design for my next tat sleeve, lol.
what is the length and width of this, kino?

Thanks all.
Dave told me that the shield has been hanging on his wall for at least 20 yrs.
I guess he got tired of looking at it. :)

i already got 3/4 sleeve on the left arm; just didn't know how to finish it off. i think i got my answer :)
