Well, folks, what do you think of that? Strange as it may sound, I have a nasty feeling that it might be genuinely old and of good quality. Am I totally insane this morning, before having my coffee?

I'm certainly no expert on Chinese weapons, but I wouldn't pay $200.00 for that.

Looks like the ubiquitous Tibetan swords coveted by "those who travel for pleasure." ;)

THERE IS VARYING QUALITY WITH THESE TIBET SHORT SWORDS AND DAGGERS. SOME ARE VERY NICELY MADE USING REAL SILVER, JADE AND SIMI PRECIOUS STONES. OTHERS USE WHITE METAL AND MANUFACTURED OR VERY LOW QUALITY STONES. MOST OF THE BLADES I HAVE SEEN ON THE WELL MADE EXPENSIVE ONES AND THE CHEAP ONES WERE OF ABOUT THE SAME QUALITY. ITS NOT POSSIBLE TO TELL FROM THE PICTURE BUT THE ONE PICTURED COULD BE ONE OF THE ONES OF BETTER QUALITY AND IF TRULY A OLD ONE WOULD BE WORTH THE MONEY SPENT.
I LIKE TO LOOK AT THESE PRETTY ITEMS BUT IT IS NOT WHAT REALLY TRIGGERS THE NEED TO COLLECT IN ME :D
