Hello everyone;

Does anyone have any advice on how to etch a blade ? I can't seem to find anything on web that is clear enough to detail the process ?

what would be the criteria to do so ?

Thank you in advance for your help and input.

Please advise.

sincerely

Do a little bit research here in old threads, there have been many threads where it was described. Use keywords "etch", "etching", "lamination", "pamor" or "vinegar". I am sure you will find what will help you.

Jelagu,

There are many different processes that work best on many different surface types. One important thing in all aspects is surface preperation.

What type of blade do you want to etch?

Hi Gavin;

I have a post ww II carbon barong blade, it has some minor rust, and would like to see if the process sharpens the laminations.

I was planning on using pineapple (unsweetened) juice after a WD 40 clean ?

I welcome your comments.

J
