Hey mate,

This is a moroccan dagger called koummya. There is alot of info in this forum regarding these daggers. Yours seem to be made for the tourist trade.

I'm not sure that curved blades can rightfully be called stilettos. :shrug:

dagger, knife, stilletto can all be referred to as "stilet" in Romanian. :shrug:

I certainly do not intend for Wikipedia to be counted as any kind of academic source, but if i where to base any decision on this article i would not refer to this blade as a stiletto... :shrug:

You completely miss my point. I am not disputing that the term "stiletto" in the common English (and, really, Italian) lexicon does not apply to the knife under discussion.

Rather, Multumesc (OP) is from Romania. He probably uses the Romanian word "stilet" in his language to refer to the subject knife. The Romanian word "stilet" can be translated variously into the words, "knife", "dagger" or "stiletto".
