I wonder if anybody can tell me more about the inscription in the blade of this golok?

Thank you in advance,
Maurice

Arabic...

The line from the first image is probably the opening line of most of the books of the Qur'an...

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm

Which translates - In the name of God; The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Second image is upside down. The line is not familiar to me and I don't read Arabic...only Jawi (which uses Arabic characters) but an Arabic speaker will be able to translate it.

Nice golok.

Thank you very much!
At least we have the first line translated than.

Every time when I ask for a translation, it seemed I have it upside down.
Thank you for the tip and I turned it around so it's easier to read for the one who can read it:

- LA HOLA WALA QOWATE ILLA BILLAH ALIYYIL-AZIM
either (the English translation does not completely convey the full meaning of the phrase, but here our best proposal)
- THERE IS NO MIGHT NOR POWER EXCEPT IN ALLAH
