Two Ngul / Dinga knives; one has an iron blade, the other blade is made of copper.

Thanks for posting these photos along with your earlier post.

What I've seen on this forum since joining has really opened my eyes to what's out there!

 I HAVENT SEEN THIS EXACT FORM BEFORE. DOES THE SHAPE REPRESENT SOMETHING AND DOES THE KNIFE HAVE A SPECIFIC USE OR IS IT JUST A INDICATION OF RANK OR WEALTH. DOES IT HAVE ANY CEREMONIAL FUNCTION AND WHAT COUNTRY DOES IT COME FROM. DO THEY COME WITH A SCABBARD OR ARE THEY USUALLY CARRIED WITH BARE BLADE. LOTS OF QUESTIONS  THANKS FOR SHOWING THESE.

I'm sure JW can give better answers but my understanding was that they are ceremonial knives - from the Congo and occur among a few peoples in the same area (quick Google turns up Yanzi, Nguli, Lwer, or Dzing peoples).

Interesting items for sure, particularly the brass blade - haven't seen one like that before. :)

Another three typical knives of the Ngul / Dinga. First one has an iron blade, both the others have copper blades.
